The Summer is one of my favorite times of the year. I love being by the water during the day and enjoying the warmer nights outside with a glass of wine. It’s my happy place. So with the first day of Summer officially in full swing I thought I’d share all my summer essentials. These are the things I use or grab ever summer; from errand days to lake days.
swimsuits
Lake days, pool days, all the days, I’m in a swimsuit. You know me, I like to be tan. So let me lay in the sun (with sunscreen, of course) and get to work. This year, Aerie was my go-to for suits. They have so many cute styles and at such affordable price points. I love that you can mix and match different styles and patterns — it’s like having a whole new suit!
sandals
A brown leather sandal goes with almost everything. If you’re going to have one style that will last you all Summer, I always suggest a brown leather strappy sandal. It’s a staple piece, and here are some of my favorites.
shorts
Two words for you: mom jeans. And you bet they made a shorts version 🙌🏼. These high-waisted shorts are the absolute best! Pair them with your swimsuit, a knotted tee or a bodysuit and you are good to go.
jewelry
I have a round-up of my favorite pieces of jewelry already, and during the Summer that doesn’t change much. But I have been adding a few more layering pieces that take it up a notch. I’m even layering already layered pieces, which might be a little excessive but I’m into it.
sunglasses
I won’t go anywhere without them. And since I like to change up my glasses so often I’ve actually found quite a few pairs on Amazon recently! They are super affordable and such great styles.
