weekly recap + a local business spotlight

I shared a little sneak peak of what I’ve been working on this week 👉🏼

I loved the amount of responses that guessed I was working on my own wine 😂 I mean that would be pretty amazing and I could totally see myself collaborating with a wine maker on a pinot some day — how cool would that be!? But that’s gong to have to wait for another day.

To be honest, I’m a little nervous to say it out loud. I’ve told a few people already, and have received such positive feedback, but I think I’m just nervous af to fail. I mean who isn’t. That, and I cannot for the life of me decide on a what to call it 🙄 Anyways, you’ve probably guessed it by now, l but I’m still not ready to announce it just yet. So we wait another week.

Speaking of, I’m debating on changing this recap to a monthly one instead of weekly. Thoughts? Sometimes I feel like I’m dong these with nothing to share or say so it’s seems ridiculous to send the same thing over and over again each week. Would love to hear what you think!

In other news, I had lunch at a new local restaurant this week which gave me the idea of starting a local business spotlight. I shared all about it below — if you’re in the area I hope it’s helpful and that you can go visit it soon!

Hope you guys are having the best weekend! Happy Sunday ♥️

Lulus Bodycon Dress — one of my picks for a wedding guest look; this dress looks super flattering and you could definitely get a couple wears out of it.

Shein Swimsuit — I placed an order this week for a bunch of stuff from this site; this particular suit was one of the favorites (especially in this color!)

Ruffle Mini Dress — another wedding guest look; the sleeves on this are my favorite!

Wood Cutting Board — I use this for cheeseboards and it’s the perfect size.

Round Sunglasses — I love my amazon sunglasses because I don’t have to worry about breaking them!

This place combines all of the best things under one roof: handmade ice cream, grilled cheese, and cocktails. Like what?! 🤯

I first went here for Mother’s Day with my mom and younger brother to get ice cream. Thinking it was just that. But when we walked in and saw a) how cute it was but also b) they serve way more than just ice cream, I knew I had to come back. And that I did.

I went for lunch this week with my boss — because not only is this an adorable place to have lunch, but it’s also a place that serves Jardesca! So yes, it was a work lunch, my job is very hard 🤪

Naturally, we both had their Jardesca cocktail called Winter in California (which, by the way, she said she’s keeping on the menu through Summer because it’s that good and just changing the name so keep an eye out for the drink made with Jardesca). I had never had an ice cream cocktail before and man did it not disappoint. I can totally picture myself drinking these all the time! Plus, you know i love a photographable cocktail — and did you see that photo yet?! 😍

For food, they have four different kinds of grilled cheeses and a waffle dog. I got the grilled cheese called The Cheeseboard, which was their most basic one (yes, I still eat like a 5 year old) and had 6 different kinds of cheese on it. Yes, you read that right, 6! Sharp cheddar, mozzarella and gruyere are just the first three plus the bread is also crusted with a seventh cheese, just to drill the point home. Needless to say it was freaking delicious. The waffle dogs were also a hit. It’s basically a corndog made with sourdough cornmeal waffle so what could possibly be bad about that.

So if you’re looking for a cute spot for lunch, a snack, or even just dessert — please stop by Nimble & Finn’s. You will not be disappointed.

Note: they also have another (original) location in Guerneville, CA.
