Beauty week was so much fun! Santa Rosa Plaza had a couple great events — unfortunately I had to miss them, but I heard nothing but amazing things. From build your own bath bombs to clean beauty make-overs there was a little something for everyone. I stocked up on a few beauty favorites during Macy’s 15% off sale and I hope you did too!

best sellers

Marc New York Leather Jacket — best fall transition piece. I got this leather jacket last year and they brought it back this year plus in the best colors. Such a comfortable style because it has knit side and sleeve panels and the softest leather.

Shein White T-shirt — another super comfy material. This tee has a little bit of stretch to it which I love. It has a slight cuffed sleeve and is the perfect length.

Romwe Ruffled Sleeve Body Suit — the sleeve detail on this is amazing. I love that it transitions into fall which a great pair of jeans too!

Casual Swing Dress — the best throw on and go dress. It was perfect this summer but with a jacket and booties it will also be the perfect dress for fall.

Sam Edelman Clara Mule — the it shoe of the summer. This mule style continues into the fall so if you haven’t jumped on the bandwagon I highly suggest you do! They are the perfect shoe.

Yogalicious High Waisted Leggings —the best Lululemon dupes 🙌🏼 If you love the Align pant from Lululemon, you are going to be obsessed with these. They are just as soft and a quarter of the price. I have three pairs already.

recipes we tried

Grilled Chicken Caprese — I don’t know if I would say love, but we both definitely liked this recipe and would make again. It was a very farm to table meal for us since we got to use tomatoes and basil from our garden so that’s always fun. We paired it with rice and a side salad.

The Best Classic Chili — they weren’t kidding when they named this the best classic. It was our favorite meal of the week and I cannot wait to make this all winter. Plus it was so simple and easy! We made garlic bread as a side which was delicious.

Flank Steak Tacos — we used Lisa’s Favorite Carne Asada Marinade and although it was good, it was not great. It had an intense amount of flavor (almost too much) so we probably won’t be making this again.

Creamy Asiago Chicken — one of the better meals this week; the asiago cheese sauce was one of Jamie’s favorites. We did brussel sprouts and used the left over rice as a side for this but next time I think I’d do pasta because that sauce would be amazing.
